2010 RACE SEASON IS HERE!!!

It is official.....Eureka Downs will have live Quarter Horse and Thoroughbred races in 2010! There will be no parimutuel betting but the excitement of live horses racing is still a huge draw. Races will be held on:
  • May 29
  • June 5, 12, 19
  • July 3, 4, 17, 24, 25 and 31

Gates open at 11:30am and post time is 1:00pm.

Admission is $7 for adults, Kids under 14 and Senior Citizens are $5. KQHRA members can get in for $5 by showing their membership card.

10 Day passes can be purchased for $55.

Seating is available in the air conditioned smoke free Turf Club for $20.

Keep your eyes open as more information develops in regards to the 2010 race season. Information will be posted to this blog, the website at www.eurekadowns.com and the Eureka Downs Facebook page.

Thanks for your support over they years. We look forward to seeing you at the track for the 128th consecutive year of LIVE HORSE RACING in Eureka Kansas!!

    I've never heard of , not betting on live horse racing. I wonder how, the public, will like this. Not sure yet, if i'll drive 100 miles to see.

    I wish I could provide you the opportunity to wages on the horse races. The Gaming Bill was defeated in Topeka 19-20, which would have allowed gambling in the state of KS. Contact your local Senator and Representative to see how they voted. The gaming bill would have provided 5200 jobs and $40 million to the state, instead of raising taxes. Hope to see you at a fun afternoon at the races.
